Yikes, March already!

Just the other day it was January (and miserable) and it seemed as though summer would never come around! Now its March - and the days are already feeling lighter and brighter... Perhaps not summery, but it sure does help!

Music wise, everyone is starting to book lots of gigs again! No more hibernation and hiding down south... slowly the bands are booking tickets to the UK and planning gigs way into summer! Many exciting things on the horizon!

And talking of horizons...
Tonight a lucky few will be witnessing a moment in SA music history - above the horizon... Launching at 7pm, The London Eye departs with a girl with a guitar on board... and that girl will be none other than Karma!

Karma will be launching her EP 'even if She tried' - which is apparently a lyric in one of the songs... have a listen and you'll see how the odd capitalisation all comes together! ;)

Even though the days are getting lighter here, it is still with envy that I write about one of the last summer concerts at Kirstenbosch (or should that be glee as the summer down south starts to end... ;)

This Sunday will be the surfer-style Cape Town live electronica duo who have swum circles around most... we're talking Goldfish of course! Also launching an album at this gig (called Perceptions of Pacha) Goldfish are soon to be swimming to a global pond again as they will be touring to New York and London to play at Pacha NYC and Pacha London!! They then head on to do a summer residency in Ibiza, as well as European performances with Pete Tong and Paul van Dyk (WOW!).. and the great news is that they will also pop to London inbetween their Spanish style life.

Rock on album launches this weekend!
