Looking back on the week that was...

Last week saw Ladysmith Black Mbazo in London, as they are currently on a European tour.

Afrikaans band Beeskraal then rocked on Saturday night at Aardvark in the lead up to the most fabulous World Cup win and celebration!  Apparently these Beeskraal boys (who have been going for about 10 years now), were all decked out in the green and gold on Saturday, fully fired up and igniting the crowd ahead of the rugby win!

And from celebrations to sadness, ending with the shocking news of SA anti-apartheid reggae artist Lucky Dube being shot in an attempted car hijacking! At the young age of 43, Lucky's life was still so prime, and with 20 albums released in his time, he leaves behind such a legacy across Africa and the world.

Rock on Rock-tober! And rest in peace Lucky Dube!
